Elye Wahi challenges Kylian Mbappé

Elye Wahi, the new strongman of Montpellier, sets no limits and sees himself walking in the footsteps of Kylian Mbappé.

Montpellier signed an attractive rebound in Ligue 1 last week by going to win at Lorient. An alarm clock that bears the signature of his young nugget Elye Wahi. Mbappé, the example to follow for Wahi

Wahi is only at the beginning of his career and he still has a long way to go in order to one day be able to approach the level of Mbappé. But that doesn’t mean he doesn’t see himself rising so high. “If I can follow in Mbappé’s footsteps, that would be great. What he does at his age (24), even if we shouldn’t talk about age anymore as he says himself, it’s impressive and very good for French football. When I have time, I watch PSG matches. I am very observant and in awe of everything he does,” he continued.

Wahi admires Mbappé, but he is not his main idol. His role model in football is a former OM striker, in this case Didier Drogba. “I am of Ivorian origin and I have loved Didier Drogba very much since I was little. I never had the opportunity to meet him but I hope to do so one day, ”said the Héraultais. If he wants to win the sympathy of DD, Wahi would do better to be discreet this Monday during the Montpellier – Marseille derby in Ligue 1, but there is no doubt that this is not his intention.
