When the new league year begins, Xavien Howard will be a free agent. Chris Grier stated that the door was still open for a potential return to the Miami Dolphins but Howard stated yesterday the door has closed on that idea. Howard enjoyed a very good run with the Dolphins after being drafted in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He developed into one of the top ball-hawking defensive backs in the league and was voted to the Pro Bowl four times.
