CM Punk took to Twitter this afternoon and made some very interesting comments going into tomorrow’s WWE Backstage episode, which will be the first episode where Punk actually participates in pro wrestling discussions as an analyst.
“It IS weird trying to catch up on 5+ years of rasslin’, I’m doing what I can. There’s bright spots, mostly women from what I can tell. There’s BAD too. I’m gonna talk about it, and no one is safe. Join us. @ReneeYoungWWE @WWEonFOX @BookerT5x @RealPaigeWWE @VinceMcMahon @TonyKhan,” Punk tweeted.
It’s interesting to note that Punk tagged AEW President & CEO Tony Khan, and WWE Chairman & CEO Vince McMahon. He also tagged co-hosts Renee Young, Paige and WWE Hall of Famer Booker T.
Punk made his debut on the weekly WWE studio show last Tuesday night, coming out at the very end. Punk has commented on how he plans to make the show very entertaining. As we’ve noted, Punk is signed to a FOX contract, not a WWE deal, but WWE did give their blessing to the hire, which was 100% a FOX decision. There’s still no word yet on Punk possibly returning to the WWE ring, but the speculation continues.
