UFC star turned pro-wrestler Cain Velasquez appeared on Ariel Helwani’s MMA show earlier today to promote this weekend’s AAA event, entitled Invading NY, from the Hulu Theater at Madison Square Garden. During the interview, Velasquez reveals that he’s spoken with WWE as a possible company he’d like to work with in the future, but also mentions that he enjoys what AEW has been doing, and that he’s talked with co-founder Cody Rhodes about working there as well.
I’d like to wrestle for other places as well. We’ve been in talks with WWE. I’ve talked to Cody and AEW a little bit. I want to talk to them a little more. I think AEW is doing some good things.
