On today’s episode of SiriusXM’s Busted Open Radio, Bubba Ray gave credit to Ronda Rousey and Becky Lynch. While others are criticizing the duo for their perception that they have “crossed a line”, Bubba Ray instead praises them for being able to blur reality and fiction. Here’s what he had to say:
On Rousey & Lynch Being Able To Blur The Lines:
That’s why I like and don’t mind the road that Ronda is going down here. How long has Becky Lynch been in the wrestling business? 10+ years. She is savvy and knows everything backstage. The things wrestlers should and shouldn’t say in public. She understands the protection of the wrestling business. Now how long has Ronda Rousey been in [martial arts]? 10+ years. She’s had a very brief amount of time in the wrestling business.
On Comparing It To His Own Experiences:
When I was in the business as long as Ronda has been, I wasn’t savvy about all the terminology rules and regulations. What we protect and don’t protect. We can assume that Ronda probably knows what a lot of things mean. I think she got so pissed off that Becky put the picture of her husband up there that she threw everything out the window and started using the word fake, her real name. Everyone is reading this and going, ‘Oh my God. Is this real?’ [We don’t know] if it’s real and that’s the beauty of it.
