Black Ops Gulf War Getting Extended Reveal June 9

on

It has just been revealed by Microsoft that on June 9, following the Xbox Games Showcase, there will be a Call of Duty Direct event to officially reveal Black Ops Gulf War. Nothing more is known about the impending reveal, only that it’s sizeable enough to warrant its own session away from the core Xbox Games Showcase. There are huge expectations for ‘Call of Duty 2024’, which has long been rumoured to be known as Black Ops Gulf War.

Reportedly, this game has spent years in development, with several teams pouring resources and effort into crafting a top-tier Call of Duty experience. It should be a far cry from recent titles in terms of the overall sentiment around the game, and it’s revisiting the Black Ops series for the first time since 2020.

Black Ops Gulf War Reveal Coming Soon

More players are excited about the next Call of Duty title than they have been for years. Everything we’ve seen so far, ranging from the game’s purported setting to the weapons lists that are leaking, has filled prospective fans with anticipation. In a recent image released by Microsoft, we’re given our first look at the branding for Black Ops Gulf War:

There’s a trio of wolves heads against a shield, and that shield is overlaid against an image of what seems to be the Capitol Building in Washington DC. There’s a lot of redaction – which is typical for the Black Ops franchise – but that means there’s almost nothing to take away from the image. It could go anywhere from here – Activision Blizzard could even shock everyone by revealing something totally unknown – not Black Ops Gulf War. Anything could happen!

It’s expected that Black Ops Gulf War will be released in November 2024, as is typical for the Call of Duty series. It’s believed that the game will feature a lengthy open-world campaign, a round-based Zombies mode, an advanced multiplayer platform featuring remastered maps, and a new Warzone instance.

Stay tuned – we’ll have more information as soon as it becomes available.
