She outlasted everyone in the battle royal to win the title vacated by Rhea Ripley.

Rhea Ripley was forced to vacate the women’s world championship on Monday Night Raw last week thanks to an injury she suffered at the hands of Liv Morgan. She’s expected to miss a number of months, which made it necessary for WWE to book a match to find a new champion.

They settled on a Triple H favorite — a multi-person match, of course! In this case, a battle royal on Raw in Columbus this week, meaning the likes of Maxxine, Zoey Stark, Katana Chance, and Kayden Carter were all given a title shot for simply existing.

The favorite going in, per the betting odds, was Morgan. The clear and obvious contenders were her, Nia Jax, and Becky Lynch. Naturally, they ended up being the final three.

Morgan and Lynch teamed up to take out Jax to set up a showdown between the two for the title. They had a solid back-and-forth but in the end it was Lynch, the tried and true star of the division, who used a Manhandle Slam on the apron to get Morgan out.

Lynch is now a 7-time world champion in WWE.
