Bayern Munich is on the verge of finally completing the transfer of Manuel Neuer’s replacement, absent until the end of the season. Indeed, according to our information, he has managed to reach an agreement with Borussia Mönchengladbach for the transfer of Swiss international goalkeeper Yann Sommer, a priority for several weeks. The transfer would be around €8m + €1m in bonuses.
Aged 34, Sommer would thus leave Mönchengladbach after almost 9 full seasons, strengthening Bayern Munich for the knockout stages of the Champions League against PSG in particular. This transfer, expected, will generate a crossover in the cages of many clubs. It is in Montpellier that Borussia will draw Sommer’s successor, in the person of Jonas Omlin.

Swiss like Sommer, but younger (29), Omlin will leave Montpellier for compensation of around €10m. An agreement has been reached between the goalkeeper and the German club, as reported by the Swiss newspaper Blick. All that remained was to find a new goalkeeper on the Montpellier side and it is now done.
Benjamin Lecomte, former MHSC (between 2017 and 2019), will return to La Mosson. Loaned by AS Monaco to Espanyol this season, he lost his place last November. Montpellier has agreed with ASM to buy out the 18-month contract and will be able to rely on a player they know well to raise the bar in Ligue 1 (MHSC is 15th in the championship). Unless there is a last-minute surprise lead, since according to our information, another player is still targeted. A hell of a game of musical chairs.
