The 2nd seed Carlos Alcaraz will compete in his first Australian Open quarter-final. Kecmanovic lost serve in the third game, falling 2-1 behind and giving his rival a boost. Carlos cemented the lead with a hold at 15 in game four and pushed strong on the return in the next two games. Miomir saved a break point at 2-4, staying within one break deficit. Alcaraz faces no issues on serve in games eight and ten, wrapping up the opener 6-4. The second set brought a similar outcome, with the Spaniard controlling the pace and delivering a single break. Miomir stayed in touch early on, avoiding break points and leading 3-2. Carlos held at love on game six and pushed strong on the return in the next one.

The Spaniard broke the Serb in the seventh game, opening a 4-3 advantage and holding at 15 in the next one for 5-3. Miomir saved a set point in game nine and held to prolong the set. Carlos produced another fine hold in game ten, moving 6-4, 6-4 in front and closer to the finish line. Alcaraz fired 11 winners in the third set and lost three points in his games. Kecmanovic faded from the court, losing serve three times and experiencing a bagel. Carlos clinched a break in the first game and held at love for 2-0. The Spaniard converted the third break point in the third game, moving closer to the finish line. Miomir squandered a game point at 0-4, losing serve again and allowing Carlos to serve for the win. Alcaraz held at 30 in game six and book a place in his first Australian Open quarter-final.
