Asian Tour, the International Series 2023 at the start
The International Series will kick off from 9 to 12 February on the course of the Al Mouj Golf Club in Oman.
We have already had the opportunity to anticipate the program for 2023 of those that represent the fulcrum of the Asian Tour season.
Fruit of the collaboration between Asian Tour and LIV Golf, they represent an important enhancement of the main circuit of the Far East.
The first stage of the four already scheduled will follow the PIF Saudi International powered by Softbank Investment Advisers by one week, an event that traditionally opens the Asian Tour season.
Also this year the tournament is at the center of attention of world professional golf, as it becomes, for a weekend, the crossroads where some of the strongest players of the world Tours meet.
But the field of the International Series Oman will not be less important.

Basically, many of the players who will take part in Saudi International will move from Jeddah to Muscat.
Scrolling through the list of members we find professionals who come from 23 different countries.
Four Majors winners lead the patrol of top players: Sergio Garcia, Graeme McDowell, Louis Oosthuizene and Charl Schwartzel.
Together with them Brooks Koepka, Joaquim Niemann, Mito Pereira (a player who these days is indicated as about to sign with LIV Golf), Branden Grace and Scott Hend, to name a few.
Beyond the prize pool, it is clear that the International Series attracts LIV Golf players as they award points for the World Ranking, an issue still unresolved for Saudi League tournaments.

The PGA Tour became its own organization in 1968, when it split from the PGA of America, which is now primarily an association of golf professionals, such as instructors and club managers. Tournament players first formed their own organization, the Association of Professional Golfers (APG). Later, in 1968, the players abolished the APG and agreed to operate as the PGA “Tournament Players Division”, a fully autonomous division of the PGA, overseen by a new 10-member Tournament Policy Board. The name then officially changed to “PGA Tour” in 1975.
