On april 8th, one day, Hockey 5s tournament was held at Dasrath Stadium Indoor Hall. A total of 5 teams participated in the inaugral tournament; Gandaki, Nepal Army “A”, Nepal Army “B”, “Nepal Police” and Bagmati. The event was conducted on a league basis wherein the team with most points would be crowned champion.
Nepal Police Club was crowned champions securing 10 from 4 games. In the final match of the day, Nepal police club beat Army Club “A” to clinch the title.
Army Club “A” team settled for second place, having secured 9 points from 4 Matches. Army Club “B” team settled for 3rd place with 7 points. Gandaki team managed to secure 4 points from 4 games and were adjudged 4th in the league while host Bagmati Finished 5th with no points.
Mahesh Dhami of Nepal police Club was declared Player of the tournament. Mahesh Dhami scored hattrick on the final match against Nepal Army “A” that helped his team secure victory in the match and claim the trophy.
