Apex Legends Season 20 Release Date
The next Apex Legends season is expected to begin on February 13th. This is when the current Apex Legends season ends. Once we get into the new season, it seems things are changing quite a lot though. Major Apex Legends Season 20 leaks are pointing towards an update aimed at fixing the game’s rougher aspects. The current leaks say no new Legend or Map, but instead a season devoted to fixing the game’s current balance as a whole. This is what we know about the new season.
Apex Legends Season 20 Leaks
The new Season of Apex Legends has had quite a few major leaks so far. Players have a good idea of quite a few of the planned changes. These are going to affect the balance of the game in a big way. The new season won’t be launching new Legends, Maps, or even new weapons. Instead, it’s based on changing what’s already in the game. These are the big changes we’ve seen leaked.
- Replicators – One use per squad, no longer has weapons, attachments, or shield levelling.
- Crafting Materials – Can be obtained through in-game actions
- Shield Level Up – Now done through in-game actions, like damaging players, getting assists, and revives.
- Care Package – Only drops 2 weapons
- Loot Bins and Care Package – New Design
- SBMM – Bigger changes, should effect matchmaking less harshly.
Legends
- Perks – Each Legend will now have four new perks
They’ll activate at different shield levels. - Balancing Changes – Quite a few of these coming, life Lifeline getting a self-resurrect and Loba’s Black Market being redone.
Event
- Collection Event – To launch Season 20, there’s a new collection event coming with Heirloom Shards up for grabs.
These are the big Season 20 leaks so far. Quite a few of the changes will definitely make the experience different, especially in Apex Legends esports. Hopefully, these changes will make for some interesting tournaments. The lack of flashy new content might not grab everyone’s attention in the way bigger seasonal updates do though.
The ALGS is getting underway for 2024 soon. Changes like the Apex Legends Season 20 update should help to further refine the meta. For pubs it seems the game is moving towards rewarding more aggressive paly styles.
