It’s been more than a year since Alyse Anderson last appeared in ONE Championship, but her return has finally been booked.

The Invicta FC veteran is scheduled to fight Victoria Souza in an atomweight bout at ONE 168, which takes place in Denver at the Ball Arena on Sept. 7. ONE officials confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Friday.

Anderson hopes for a better outcome when she returns to Colorado, which was also the site of her most recent outing against current ONE atomweight champion Stamp Fairtex. Anderson suffered a knockout loss that dropped her to 1-2 overall since joining the ONE roster in 2021.

She’ll attempt to get back on track against Souza, who sports the same 1-2 record in ONE, with her most recent appearance coming in March in a loss to Noelle Grandjean.

Anderson vs. Souza joins a growing lineup headed to Denver as ONE seeks a new main event after Stamp Fairtex suffered a knee injury that forced her out for several months.

There’s no word yet on a replacement main event, but the card also features 21-year-old grappling sensation Kade Ruotolo taking on Mikey Musumeci as well as British Muay Thai champion Jonathan Haggerty defending his belt against Superlek Kiatmoo9.
