In its Ibn Batouta stadium in Tangier, the Moroccan national team still seems to be on cloud nine after reaching the semi-finals of the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. Indeed, within the framework of a friendly match, the Atlas Lions offered themselves a prestigious success against Brazil, nevertheless diminished by injuries (Neymar, Marquinhos, Richarlison…). A first victory for the Kingdom against the Seleção, the third only for the latter against an African selection (after Cameroon in 2003 and 2022).

This victory, which was witnessed by a sold-out Tangier den, also attracted people to the small screen. Indeed, the Moroccan public service channel (SNRT) Arryadia, broadcast on Saturday evening with Al Aoula (another SNRT channel), communicated the audience achieved by this confrontation between Rouge-et-Vert and Auriverdes: 10 million viewers were recorded on the two channels that offered the meeting, a record on the other side of the Strait of Gibraltar.
