450 RACE RESULTS // 2024 DETROIT SUPERCROSS

Racing has commenced at Ford Field for the 2024 Detroit Supercross. In qualifying, Jett Lawrence appeared electric and set the fastest time. However, tonight will present its challenges as the track deteriorated rapidly, becoming very rough and rutted. Cooper Webb was also exceptionally quick and is known to race at a higher pace than in qualifying. With Ken Roczen and Chase Sexton looking very comfortable as well, it’s anyone’s game to win today. Aaron Plessinger currently holds the points lead and aims to maintain that momentum into the next round at Glendale. For all the results and updates, please read below.

450 HEAT 1 RACE RESULTS

Starting around third Aaron Plessinger kept his head down and was able to make his way into the lead and win the first heat.

It was Cooper Webb last week’s race winner who was able to grab the holeshot followed by his teammate Justin Cooper, Aaron Plessinger, and Hunter Lawrence. Aaron Plessinger immediately went to work trying to set up a pass on Justin Cooper to allow himself to not let the leader Cooper Webb pull away. About a lap and a half later Aaron Plessinger made the move in the corner before the whoops, but as they headed into the sand section, the leader Cooper Webb pushed out the front end ultimately going down, he would remount in around seventh position. Aaron Plessinger within one lap was able to start breaking away from the pack gaining a three-second lead over Justin Cooper. Aaron would continue this smooth ride to the finish line where he’d take the first heat win.
