450 QUALIFYING RESULTS // 2024 SAN DIEGO SUPERCROSS

The 2024 San Diego Supercross is underway and it’s shaping up to be an exciting one. The Anaheim 1 opener was a Jett Lawrence show in the Main Event, San Francisco Supercross was a complete mud-fest with Chase Sexton “weathering the storm” the best, coming out with the win, and now San Diego is shaping up to be a “mostly dry” race, with some rain the forecast later in the afternoon. With a third at Anaheim and a win in NorCal, defending 450SX Champion, Chase Sexton leads the way in the championship with Jett Lawrence in second, 7 points behind  and Eli Tomac third, 10 points behind.

450 QUALIFYING SESSION 1 RESULTS: GROUP A

Ken Roczen is on the gas today. 

Ken Roczen was quick to place himself at the top of the leaderboard early followed by Eli Tomac and Jason Anderson. The track was extremely slippery in this 450 qualifying and it seemed as if Jett Lawrence was just trying to get himself a decent time without getting out of control. Eli Tomac would end up sliding on the face entering the rhythm section after the whoops and would go down fairly hard, he was able to remount immediately and continue on. Again battling the conditions rather than the time clock riders kept a quick pace but began tip-toeing around the track. In the end, it was Ken Roczen who shined in the rain of the first qualifier.

Dean Wilson is representing well at San Diego for the “throwback theme” race. 

Ken Roczen came from 10th on the first lap to 3rd last weekend in the mud, he’s looking for another podium in San Diego.

Eli Tomac is third in the points after finishing ninth at Anaheim 1 and second at San Francisco.
