Jets take another running back
The New York Jets have selected running back Isaiah Davis out of the South Dakota State University with the 173rd overall pick in the fifth round of the 2024 NFL Draft.
Isaiah Davis is a 6’ 0”, 218 pound running back out of South Dakota State University.
Davis is a big, strong runner with the ability to run through first contact and create additional yards. Davis has the bend and footwork to create alternate pathways when needed. Davis has limited speed. He is primarily a one-cut, downhill runner. He has the potential to play all three downs, but faces an uncertain pathway to playing time with the Jets already having Breece Hall, Israel Abanikanda and Braelon Allen. This is, frankly, a bit of a head scratcher after the Jets already picked Allen.
