2024 NFL Combine: Schedule, participants, and more (Open Thread)

Here’s everything you need to know for the NFL Combine.

Talk about the combine all weekend right here! Let us know your favorite prospects, who surprised you, who helped their stock, who disappointed, or whatever else comes to mind about the event.

The NFL Combine has become a mammoth event for the league, not just for the teams and prospects but for agents, media, and fans. It’s obviously where teams get their most in-depth look at the players, but it’s also where the seeds are sown for trades between franchises and for player movement via free agency.

We’ll get plenty of nuggets of news and rumors in the next week, but keep in mind it’s also peak lying season. Teams will float things through the media to drum up interest, so try not to get too high or too low based on the reports. We’re all sports fans. We all know how the game is played. Just sit back and enjoy the ride.

Teams, media, and agents have already arrived in Indianapolis, and the first position groups will check in today.

On Tuesday at 9:15 am CT, Chicago Bears general manager Ryan Poles is scheduled to meet the media, with head coach Matt Eberflus to follow at 11:30 am CT.

How to watch

If you can’t make it to Indianapolis’ Lucas Oil Stadium to watch in person, the NFL Network is your go-to, as they’ll have wall-to-wall coverage, including the on-field workouts starting on Thursday.

• Thursday, February 29th, 2:00 pm CT – Defensive Linemen, Linebackers
• Friday, March 1st, 2:00 pm CT – Defensive Backs, Tight Ends
• Saturday, March 2nd, Noon CT – Quarterbacks, Wide Receivers, Running Backs
• Sunday, March 3rd, Noon CT – Offensive Linemen

NFL.com and NFL+ will provide streaming options for the scouting combine.

Events

The players will be put through some position-specific drills by the coaches working the event, but each position will do the following.

• 40-yard dash
• Bench press (225 pounds)
• Vertical jump
• Broad jump
• 3-cone drill
• Shuttle run
• Wonderlic test
