Giants would be inviting chaos if they use a high draft pick on a QB | New York Post
Paul Schwartz warns of what GM Joe Schoen and head coach Brian Daboll will face if they draft a quarterback this year.
If the Giants go in this direction, they had better be prepared for the maelstrom that follows.
There is nothing more distracting to a team than having two quarterbacks for one job. Wait until Jones looks rusty in a training camp practice or he misses an open receiver in the season opener, or — heaven forbid — throws the ball up for grabs for an interception. From the moment the Giants are off the clock after taking a quarterback at No. 6, Jones’ ownership of the starting job is on the clock. It is almost always an irrevocable decree: Your time is nearing an end.
Giants ownership reluctant to trade up for QB after paying Daniel Jones | The Atheltic
Giants ownership could be reluctant to make that move after the team paid Daniel Jones with a four-year, $160 million contract last offseason. Via Diana Russini:
This general manager, Joe Schoen, did not draft Daniel Jones, but he did give him that contract last year. There was a time where I was digging on trying to find out if they were willing to trade up. There have been some mocks out there that had the Giants moving up to go get a quarterback. It was explained to me that that was just a really tough sell to ownership after giving Daniel Jones that contract last year that we’re going to now give up assets to replace a quarterback that we’re paying $40 million. I think there’s a really small chance that they do that. I think there’s a better chance that they trade out for more picks.

Giants pre-NFL Draft visits: Who came and why these meetings matter to GM Joe Schoen | The Athletic
Of Schoen’s 18 draft picks, eight visited the Giants before the draft: First-rounders Deonte Banks, Kayvon Thibodeaux and Evan Neal; third-rounders Jalin Hyatt and Cor’Dale Flott; fourth-rounder Dane Belton; fifth-rounder DJ Davidson; and sixth-rounder Tre Hawkins. Additionally, top undrafted free agent Bryce Ford-Wheaton visited last year.
Dan Duggan identified 19 visitors, while seven others were reported that he couldn’t confirm. That means up to four visitors have flown completely under the radar.
2024 NFL Draft: Favorite team-player fits | PFF
QB Drake Maye, North Carolina → New York Giants. Maye needs to hone his fundamentals, make his throwing motion more repeatable and consistent and not put the ball in harm’s way as much as he did in 2023. Brian Daboll is the ideal coach to get that done with Maye. He did so with Josh Allen when he was the offensive coordinator in Buffalo for four seasons. He allowed Allen to still be who he is as a quarterback while limiting his mistakes.
NY Giants: QB or no QB a draft question again 20 years after Eli trade | The Record
Twenty years have passed since NY Giants made bold draft day trade for Eli Manning. Is Joe Schoen ready to take page out of Ernie Accorsi’s playbook?

How Giants, Jets, Eagles pursuit of impact players is going beyond the U.S. borders | NJ.com
Tyrese Johnson-Fisher held the football in his right hand, looking intently as a scout from the Giants set up dummies on the William Paterson University turf for a drill. For Johnson-Fisher, a British national and third-generation Jamaican, it was not a typical Tuesday morning. Forty-eight hours ago, he was in Houston, working remotely for a London-based financial system sales firm. But after getting a call that he had a tryout, he hopped on a plane and onto the field, trying to prove that he deserved a shot at playing in the NFL.
Kelsey Plum, Giants’ Darren Waller divorcing after one year | New York Post
A joint petition for a divorce was filed Tuesday in Clark County, Nevada, according to online records. Plum, who wed the Giants tight end in March 2023, suggested their marriage was over in a heartbreaking post shared Tuesday on her social media pages.
