WWE NXT Viewership Down for This Week’s Taped Episode, Key Demo Rating Up

This week’s taped edition of WWE NXT drew 660,000 viewers on the USA Network, according to Nielsen via Showbuzz Daily.

This is down 4.06% from last week’s 688,000 viewers for the taped episode.

Tuesday’s NXT drew a 0.16 rating in the key 18-49 demographic. This is up 6.66% from last week’s 0.15 rating in the key demo. The 0.16 rating represents 209,000 18-49 viewers, which is up 6.63% from the 196,000 18-49 viewers that last week’s 0.15 key demo rating represented, according to Wrestlenomics.

NXT ranked #14 on the Cable Top 150 this week with the 0.16 rating in the 18-49 key demographic. This is down from last week’s #7 ranking on cable.

NXT ranked #77 in viewership on cable this week. This is down from last week’s #47 viewership ranking on cable.

Tuesday’s NXT drew the lowest total audience since the Heatwave go-home show on August 9. This was the ninth-highest total audience of the year so far, and was tied with two other episodes for the fifth-highest key demo rating of the year so far. Sports competition last night included the Yankees vs. Blue Jays MLB game on TBS, plus the Mexico vs. Colombia game that topped network TV. The Weather Channel coverage of Hurricane Ian also drew significant viewership on cable. This week’s NXT viewership was down 4.06% from last week, while the key demo rating was up 6.66% from last week.

This week’s NXT viewership was up 0.76% from the episode that aired one year ago, while the 18-49 key demo rating was up 14.28% from the show that aired one year ago.

The Weather Channel’s coverage of Hurricane Ian topped the night in the 18-49 demographic on the Cable Top 150 with a 0.22 rating, also drawing 1.170 million viewers. The Five on FOX News topped the night on cable in viewership with 3.460 million viewers, also drawing a 0.21 key demo rating.

FBI on CBS topped the night on network TV in viewership with an average of 7.098 million viewers, also drawing a 0.54 key demo rating. Seleccion Mexicana with Colombia vs. Mexico on Univision topped the night on network TV in the 18-49 key demo with a 0.77 rating, also drawing 1.964 million viewers.

This week’s NXT show was a taped episode from the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, with full spoilers and the following line-up advertised ahead of time – Joe Gacy vs. Cameron Grimes, Sol Ruca’s debut vs. Amari Miller, NXT Women’s Tag Team Champion Kayden Carter vs. Nikkita Lyons, Damon Kemp vs. Brutus Creed, Wes Lee vs. Tony D’Angelo, Unified NXT Women’s Champion Mandy Rose vs. Fallon Henley in a non-title match, Ilja Dragunov vs. Xyon Quinn, plus Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen vs. Wolfgang and Mark Coffey of Gallus in a Pub Rules match, which was the main event.
