Willy Sagnol’s Georgia hooks Norway

After a largely dominated friendly match against Mongolia (6-1), Georgia of Khvicha Kvaratskhelia made its entry into Group A of the Euro 2024 Qualifying, against Norway deprived of Erling Haaland, this Tuesday evening on the lawn of the Batumi Arena. In the first act, the Norwegians did indeed dominate their subject with in particular this opener of the score of the striker of Real Sociedad, Alexander Sørloth (15th). It is therefore logical that the players of Ståle Solbakken led at the break.

In the second half, Willy Sagnol’s troops came back with much better intentions and it was thanks to this burst of pride that they managed to equalize in the wake of Georges Mikautadze, FC Metz striker, on a pass from Solomon Kvirkvelia (60th). With this result, the two countries start their journey with a point in the group of Spain. End of the truce and meeting next June, Georgia will face Cyprus and Scotland, just like Norway who will challenge exactly the same selections over this period.
