Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner are the two rulers of ATP Tennis, who must take charge of the very heavy legacy that the Big 3 are leaving. But, at the moment, it seems clear that Alcaraz is superior to his Italian rival. 3 Slams at 21 years old cannot be a coincidence.

In an interview with L’Equipe, former tennis player and now commentator Mats Wilander had a very specific opinion on the fight between the two. According to Wilander, Alcaraz is superior and is the real ATP No.1.

“Alcaraz is only 21 years old and has shown that he doesn’t need to play the best tennis to win, it’s the mark of the greatest.
His chances of winning other Slams are very high and not because of his shots but because of his brain and his courage, he is incredible. He controls the exchanges and it seems that the match always depends on him. He has an immense arsenal and I’m sure, after the Big 3 he is a real godsend for our sport. Sinner the new No.1? Being number 1 is just a matter of computers, it’s just data. People will always prefer live tennis over a machine,” he told.
