Does Las Vegas need to add?

The Las Vegas Raiders have added to their linebacker position during the draft by taking Ohio State’s Tommy Eichenberg in the fifth round.

Let’s take a look where the position stands after the draft:

New free agent added:

Free agents re-signed:

Unrestricted free agent who departed:

Remaining unrestricted free agents:

Curtis Bolton.

Eichenberg was selected in the fifth round at No. 148.

This is an interesting group. It is not overly deep, yet the Raiders’ brass liked enough that they haven’t done much other than add Eichenberg and it may not be a priority to continue to tinker with as far as the 2024 53-man roster goes. Eichenberg will probably be a backup and special teamer as a rookie as he plays behind Robert Spillane and Divine Deablo. The team also has solid backup Luke Masterson, along with 2023 sixth-round pick Amari Burney, Darien Butler (who was hurt all last year) and Kana’i Mauga. They will likely let the youngsters battle behind Deablo and Spillane.
