Urban and North Ayrshire set for SBL Premier Division double headers

on

North Ayrshire (NATTC) and Urban TTC are both in action twice this weekend as the SBL Premier Division enters 2023. They both play on Saturday and Sunday, with BATTS, Ormesby and Brighton also in action.

The Scottish side are hoping to bounce back from defeat against BATTS as they take on Urban TTC in Saturday’s only tie. Viktor Gorman is set to make his debut for the away side, and will travel with Colin Dalgleish, Chris Main and Martin Johnson.

Urban’s squad is expected to include James Hamblett, Toby Ellis, Connor Green and Felix Thomis.

NATTC are then one of six sides playing on Sunday as they face Fusion. Fusion lost out to Ormeau in December in a tense 4-3 affair and will be looking to add to their one win so far this season.

BATTS, who currently sit second in the league, will welcome Ormesby to Essex.

David McBeath returns for the travelling side after his scintillating start to his Ormesby career before Christmas. The England international is joined by England number seven, Sam Mabey and England number three in the juniors Thomas Rayner.

The home trio will be led by Shayan Siraj, who is yet to drop a singles game this season. He will be joined by Ralph Pattison and Jack Bennett. A victory will put them top of the league with three victories, and put pressure on Ormeau who have won two of their opening three matches.

Urban will return on Sunday for a fixture against Brighton. The south-coast side thrilled their home crowd last time out as player of the match Joseph Langham-Ferreira led them to a 4-3 victory against current champions Ormesby.

All fixtures can be watched live on TTE.tv.
