Recently, the Italian media Calcio Mercato revealed that the 49-year-old German, who passed through Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain, wanted to buy three players. A goalkeeper, in the person of Edouard Mendy (Chelsea); a midfielder, with the Croatian Mateo Kovacic (Chelsea), and a striker, with the Italian Federico Chiesa (Juventus).

But Thomas Tuchel would have checked another name on his short list.

After Kovacic and Mendy, Mount in Tuchel’s sights?

According to information from Times, Mason Mount would now be in the sights of Bayern Munich. While the German Leroy Sané, whose partner would be sick of England, could free up a place in attack in the Bavarian workforce this summer, Thomas Tuchel would have set his sights on the 24-year-old Englishman, in bickering with Chelsea.

Indeed, Mason Mount, who has 32 appearances this season with the Blues (27 starts, 3 goals, 6 assists), would have requested a move this summer from his new representative. Under contract until June 2024, the England international (36 caps) has not reached an agreement with his management for a lease extension, and a departure seems inevitable this summer.

Several English clubs, and not the least, would be interested in the services of the 24-year-old attacking midfielder. Chelsea, who want to part with several players, could be easy to convince in the file.

An affordable sum for Bayern?

According to The Times, the Blues would like to sell Mason Mount for at least 56 million euros. A large sum, but affordable for Bayern Munich. Thomas Tuchel, who won the Champions League with Chelsea while managing Mason Mount, would hold the Englishman in high esteem, and would like to see him join his workforce. It remains to convince the management of Bayern Munich, who could balk at the price to pay for the Blues offensive.
