Transfer market: new fiasco in Lyon

on

Less than a year after his arrival, Tetê is preparing to leave Olympique Lyonnais. A new start with forwards after that of Karl Toko Ekambi, another failure of the OL transfer window.

Recruitment obviously involves an inevitable part of risk. L’Olympique Lyonnais does not escape it like all of its colleagues in Ligue 1. This winter transfer period is a small illustration of this.

Arrived on March 30, 2022 in the form of a loan from the Ukrainian club Shakhtar Donetsk, Tetê is already on the start.

The 22-year-old Brazilian winger, six goals in 17 Ligue 1 appearances this season, is reportedly heading to the Premier League.

In the middle of the week, OL had sold another striker. Cameroonian international Karl Toko Ekambi (55 caps) has been loaned to Stade Rennais until the end of the season.

Roman Faivre is another example of a bet attempted but lost by Lyon recruiters. The left-handed winger, landed from Brest a year ago, expressed his discomfort.

Faivre will probably return to Brittany, heading to FC Lorient. The Lyon leaders also had to repel the advances of Paris Saint-Germain against Rayan Cherki.

President Jean-Michel Aulas made it clear that the young striker trained at the club would not leave OL, like defender Malo Gusto, tracked by English clubs.
