Top Indian player too strong for Ho

on

Tin-Tin Ho found world No 34 and host nation player Manika Batra too strong at the WTT Star Contender Goa as she went out in the last 64.

It was a three-game defeat for the England No 1 as she was once agai beaten by the opponent who knocked her out of the Tokyo Olympics in 2021.

Meanwhile, in the men’s doubles, Sam Walker & Tom Jarvis went out in the last 16 to Park Ganghyeon & Kang Dongsoo of South Korea.

It leaves Liam Pitchford as the only English representation in the event – he faces Simon Gauzy (WR 32) of France in the last 32 of the men’s singles on Thursday (time TBC).
