Texas AeM men’s team gets victory over Vanderbilt

Vanderbilt University men’s tennis lost to Texas A&M, Friday afternoon. Now, the Dores travel to Kentucky to face the Wildcats on Sunday at 11 a.m.

The Dores’ doubles success continued in the afternoon. Vandy’s No. 33 duo of Jeremie Casabon and Siim Troost earned a 6-4 win on Court 1 against Noah Schachter and No. 40 Trey Hilderbrand. On Court 2, Dores Nathan Cox and Michael Ross forced the tiebreak set , who won 7-6 (7-2) to clinch the doubles point for the Commodores.

The Aggies rallied, tying the game with a 2-court win. Cox won in straight sets on 1-court to reclaim Vanderbilt’s lead, but Texas A&M fought back, claiming three straight games to clinch the game. The Dores fell 4-2.
