The European press has been reporting Real Madrid’s interest in Jude Bellingham for several weeks. The merengue club would face competition from clubs such as Manchester City or Liverpool. The European champions, however, would be optimistic about the outcome of the negotiations.

According to the daily brand, Real Madrid have been working intensively on the Bellingham case in recent days. A trip to Germany would be planned soon to discuss with the player and try to convince him to join the White House.

Perez aims for the league title

The 19-year-old midfielder is reportedly valued at well over €100m by his current club. The objective of Real Madrid would be to reproduce the strategy used during the acquisition of Aurélien Tchouaméni, the former player of AS Monaco.

Aurelien Tchouameni had also caught the eye of Chelsea and Liverpool before a Real Madrid envoy managed to convince him to sign in an €80m transfer. The same method would be considered to lure Bellingham.

The decisive phase of the Jude Bellingham operation therefore seems to be approaching. With him, President Florentino Perez would strike a blow on the transfer market. The arrival of the English international would compensate for the gradual withdrawal of Luka Modric and Toni Kroos. It would also mark the revival of Meringue ambitions, which would include winning the LaLiga championship title.

The Stourbridge native has made an impression this season with BVB. In all competitions, the midfielder has scored 11 goals and provided 7 assists in 39 appearances in all competitions. His contract runs until June 2025.
