Los Angeles Rams News and Links for 6/11/24

Could the Los Angeles Rams give Hakeem Butler a chance to make their roster? I can’t lie as I didn’t see much if any UFL action, but Butler was named Offensive Player of the Year (according to the information below) and maybe he would add another dynamic for the Rams at wide receiver. Of course, going from the UFL to the NFL can’t be easy but things like this have happened before. I wouldn’t be surprised if some organization gave Butler a chance.

Please let us know your thoughts. Are there any other UFL players LA should look at? Please comment on whatever you want and have a great day!

Should Rams give UFL standout Hakeem Butler a shot this summer? (ramswire)

“Though they didn’t many any splashes at wide receiver, there’s still time for the Rams to find another player who could contribute in 2024. One possibility is Hakeem Butler of the UFL.

Butler was named the UFL’s Offensive Player of the Year after leading the league in receiving yards (652) with an average of 14.5 yards per catch. His five touchdown catches were second in the UFL, as well.

Though his Battlehawks lost to the Brahmas in the conference title game on Sunday, he still put together a strong performance with six catches for 59 yards, including a spectacular 28-yard reception that he hauled in with one hand.”

Rams News: What Is LA’s Biggest Reason For Success Heading Into 2024? (si.com)

“They still have stars along the roster, giving more credibility to the team. Dalton Wasserman of Pro Football Focus listed Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay as the main reasons for the Rams to be optimistic heading into the season.

“NFL football is a complicated game, but if a team has an elite quarterback and head coach, they will probably be fine. Such is the case in Los Angeles, where Matthew Stafford and Sean McVay remain in the fold. Expectations were low heading into last season after a disastrous 2022, as there were legitimate doubts about the offensive line and a ton of young players starting on defense.”

Rams Showed Interest In Signing Veteran CB This Offseason Before He Retired (ramsdigest)

“According to NFL insider Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston, the Rams showed interest in potentially signing veteran cornerback Steven Nelson before he retired. Nelson spent last season with the Houston Texans.

Nelson would have been a good addition to the Rams if they could have landed him. He has played in the league for years as a productive piece to the puzzle.”
