Raducanu is playing in Austin later this month

Between February 07 – March 05, the inaugural ATX Open in Texas will be taking place.

Raducanu, the 2021 US Open champion, is set to highlight the player field of the inaugural ATX Open.

“Hey Austin, it’s Emma. I’m very much looking forward to coming and playing the tournament there. I’ve heard so many great things about the city and I’m really looking forward to checking out myself. Hopefully I’ll see you there,” Raducanu said in a recent video message she posted on her Instagram Story.

In Austin, Raducanu will be joined by 2017 US Open champion Sloane Stephens and 2022 Australian Open finalist Danielle Collins.

In the tournament’s press release, the tournament director sounded extremely happy about having Raducanu at this year’s tournament.

“We are thrilled that Emma, the youngest Grand Slam champion in the game today, will be coming to the ATX Open. We look forward to her joining Danielle, Sloane and Peyton for our inaugural tournament, and are very excited to know that we will be welcoming them to Austin in less than one month,” said Christo Van Rensburg, DropShot Series Tournament Director.

In Austin, Raducanu will be playing her third tournament of the year.

Raducanu started her 2023 season at the ASB Classic in Auckland, where she was forced to retire her round-of-16 match after suffering an ankle injury.

Raducanu was doubtful for the Australian Open but she was able to play and she made the second round before losing to Cori Gauff.
