Novak Djokovic underlined that he is still very much hungry for success after clinching a record-tying 22nd Grand Slam title at the Australian Open.
Djokovic, 35, defeated Stefanos Tsitsipas in three sets in the Australian Open final to tie Rafael Nadal’s all-time record of 22 Grand Slams.
Even though Djokovic is well in his thirties, he is still winning Grand Slams and he returned to the world No 1 following his Australian Open triumph.
Now that Djokovic has tied Nadal, his next goal will certainly be to win more Grand Slams and ultimately beat the Spaniard in their Grand Slam title race.
“I really dont want to stop here. I don’t have intention to stop here. I feel great about my tennis. I know that when I’m feeling good physically, mentally present, I have a chance to win any slam against anybody,” Djokovic said, per Musab Abid.
Djokovic when asked what motivates him now that he’s reached 22:

Djokovic on being a record 10-time Australian Open champion
Djokovic became a Grand Slam champion after beating Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in 2008 Australian Open final.
Since then, Djokovic has played in nine more Australian Open finals and he now owns a perfect 10-10 record in finals at Melbourne Park.
After beating Tsitsipas, Djokovic admitted that Rod Laver Arena is the most special court for him.
“It’s honestly some of the best tennis I’ve played on this court. As good as I’ve played maybe 2011 or 2015 or 2016. Maybe top 2-3 of all time of performances on slams in general, particularly here,” Djokovic reflected.
Novak Djokovic thinks he played as well at AO 2023 as he did at his absolute peak.

12 months ago, Djokovic was denied participation at the Australian Open.
At the start of the 2023 season, Djokovic made a stunning return to Australia – he captured back-to-back titles at the Adelaide International and Australian Open.
Now, Djokovic is 12-0 in 2023.
Djokovic will now take some time to rest and he is expected to return to action in Dubai, in late February.
