Nick Kyrgios’ manager attacks fans

on

2023 has certainly not started in the best way for Nick Kyrgios. The Australian talent has in fact received a lot of criticism after withdrawing from the United Cup due to an ankle injury. In addition to not leading the Australian team in the inaugural event, fans were not happy with the fact that Nick played several performances in December. A little while ago, news broke that the 27-year-old from Canberra will not even participate in the Adelaide International 2 scheduled for next week. Kyrgios will therefore present himself at the Australian Open without official matches in the legs. We remind you that the first Slam of the year will start on Monday 16 January in Melbourne Park and much is expected from Kyrgios after the final reached at Wimbledon in 2022. Nick will play the role of luxury outsider at the AOs and will try to surprise the big favorites on the eve . The man to beat is certainly Novak Djokovic, without forgetting the defending champion Rafael Nadal and the finalist of the last two editions Daniil Medvedev.

Kyrgios will skip Adelaide 2

“We are very excited and working every day to make sure we’re ready for the Australian Open,” Horsfall said. “A lot of people were upset after Nick Kyrgios pulled out of the United Cup, but I hope they now realize the injury is genuine. I wish more people would ask questions before putting in their two cents,” he added. Nick Kyrgios recently reaffirmed his earlier claim that he would retire from tennis if he won a Grand Slam title as the sport is too demanding. “Honestly, I probably would (retire if I won a Slam). Especially being from Australia as well, there’s just so much travel, so much time away from family, so much time away from friends. You’re just missing milestones in the family, you’re just not having a normal life really,” he told Eurosport. “It’s easy for a European or an American player to lose or win a tournament, then you take a five-hour flight back home and you spend a week there before the next event. Whereas as an Australian, you’re doing like four to seven months travel blocks. Honestly, I don’t think it’s healthy. No other real athlete does that in the world, in any sport. Doing seven months on your own,” he stated. Kyrgios has one of the best serves ever seen in the sport of tennis. While his first serve is quick and unpredictable, his second serve can also be devastating. He frequently clocks above 220 kph on the first serve and 200 kph on the second.
