Nice: the end of the suspense for Delort?

on

For several weeks now, Andy Delort has wanted to leave OGC Nice. The striker even agreed with a club. But the Riviera team hopes to find his replacement before letting the Algerian slip away.

Andy Delort, OGCN

Two names emerge most often in discussions around the future striker of OGC Nice. They are Terem Moffi and Youssef En-Nesyri. While Bamba Dieng signed in Lorient this Friday, the 23-year-old Nigerian should finally leave Les Merlus to sign in Nice, his first choice ahead of OM. A reason for pride for the 10th in the French championship.

Uncertain about the finalization of the Terem Moffi track, Nice had also thought of Sevillian Youssef En-Nesyri. The Côte d’Azur club would even have an agreement with the Moroccan. But the international with 57 caps would only be the 2nd choice for Nice, behind Terem Moffi, unless the formation chaired by Jean-Pierre Rivère, in difficulty in the league, decides to break the piggy bank by recruiting the two attackers, while Didier Digard, the Nice coach, can only count on Gaëtan Laborde and Andy Delort in this position, at present.

Delort finally in Nantes

Waiting for weeks, Andy Delort sees the end of the road. The player, passed by Montpellier, Toulouse, the Tigres UANL or Wigan, has a contractual agreement with FC Nantes. And according to West France, Andy Delort will be loaned to the Canaries until the end of the season, with a mandatory purchase option. When this is lifted, the 31-year-old striker will be Nantes for two seasons, until 2025.

Arrived in Nice with ambition, in 2021, Andy Delort was disappointed this season with the team’s results, despite honorable personal statistics (7 goals and 1 assist in 18 games played). FC Nantes hopes to count on the Algerian striker for the match against OM, this Wednesday, February 1, at 7 p.m.
