Marlins right-hander Nic Enright announced on social media that he was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in December, as relayed by Craig Mish of The Miami Herald. It’s unclear what is next for Enright, but he does state that he has already completed the first round of treatments. “My goal is to use my platform to provide hope and inspiration to others who fight their battles with cancer. I’m going to continue to tackle this challenge with the same perseverance that I do baseball – and I can’t wait to return to the mound and the game I love. I might have cancer, but cancer does not have me!”
More to come.
