Coach Sven Groneveld has been spotted on the practice court in Indian Wells with Czech wunderkind Linda Fruhvirtova.

At the age of 17, Fruhvirtova already has a WTA title in her collection and she is ranked at No 53 in the world.

Fruhvirtova, who reached her first Grand Slam round-of-16 at this year’s Australian Open, is widely regarded as one of the most promising and talented players in the game.

On the other side, coach Groeneveld is a well-known figure in the tennis coaching world.

In the past, Groeneveld worked with several big names such as Maria Sharapova, Monica Seles, Ana Ivanovic, Caroline Wozniacki, Bianca Andreescu and Tommy Haas.

Most recently, Groeneveld worked with 2019 US Open champion Andreescu.

The two split in late 2022.

Fruhvirtova’s 15-year-old sister Brenda has already won eight titles in the lower tier events and has been ranked as high as No 128 in the world.

The Fruhvirtova sisters have been widely tipped to make great careers and achieve the biggest accolades in the game.

Last month, 2013 Wimbledon champion Marion Bartoli called the Fruhvirtova sisters “the future of women’s tennis.”

“For Brenda to be able to go into the main draw at such a young age and for Linda to be in the fourth round and go into three sets against Donna Vekic, knowing how young they are, you can see this whole new generation starting to push, the under-18s. That for me is going to be very interesting for women’s tennis. We need to have some rivalries taking place; we need to have some new, young girls that our young kids can be excited about. I feel those girls can be the future of women’s tennis and can really push the ones who are established to do better and to push them to their highest,” Bartoli said on the new episode of Tennis Majors’ Break Points.
