Asked during the presentation of Mattéo Guendouzi, Pablo Longoria spoke about the possible second Marseille recruit. The Spaniard hopes to find an element of the same profile as Amine Harit: “We are not looking sideways. After Amine Harit’s injury, we are looking for another attacking player capable of playing in the spaces. We also need Amine’s percussive characteristics. We can finish the season with 20 players, there can be a three-way rotation between Tavares, Clauss and Kaboré, with the possibility of having Kolasinac too.he told reporters.

“We haven’t received any offers for Guendouzi”

The Olympian leader does not intend to recruit a full-back: “At the piston positions, we will not recruit. This is the final position of the club. There will be rotation with Nuno, Clauss, Kaboré and Kolasinac”, he further clarified. Pablo Longoria also denied having received a proposal for Mattéo Guendouzi. The Olympian boss doesn’t know if the player is in talks with Aston Villa, for his part, as some media have claimed: “I read the information in the press like you. There is no conversation between clubs, we have not received any offers. I do not know if it discusses with the entourage of the player. It’s just speculation”, he said. The departure of the midfielder is therefore not planned by the leaders for this winter. To see if an XXL offer could change their plans.

Ruslan Malinovskyi, the first Olympian rookie of the winter, meanwhile made his debut on Wednesday against Troyes (2-0). Facing the media, the Ukrainian confirmed that the contacts with OM dated back to last summer.
