Jim Ratcliffe and INEOS still want to buy Manchester United

The takeover of Manchester United is still and always at the heart of the debates. The Glazers family, owners of the Red Devils, have indeed decided, for several months now, to seek the next successor to take over from the current owners at the head of the prestigious English club. Jim Ratcliffe, CEO of Ineos and owner of OGC Nice since August 2019, has also made no secret of his desire to position himself to buy the club which plays at Old Trafford, more commonly called the theater of dreams, and the various parties have already been informed. “We are officially registered in the process”said a spokesperson for the 70-year-old businessman, quoted on Tuesday by The Times.

Indeed, according to the British daily, Jim Ratcliffe entered the race to buy Manchester United even if it is not really new, as we revealed in particular at the end of November last year. There is therefore not much new to eat since this announcement even if the interest of the CEO of Ineos seems to be confirmed more and more. As a reminder, those interested in buying Manchester United must register their interest with Raine Group, the bank managing the sale of the club for the Glazer family.
