JALEK SWOLL OUT OF 250 EAST SUPERCROSS WITH SPIRAL FRACTURE TO HIS HUMERUS

on

In what was a quiet offseason for injuries, they have piled up quickly in the last two weeks. Jalek Swoll will miss the opensing rounds of the 250 East with a broken arm.

Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing team rider Jalek Swoll has successfully undergone surgery on Saturday morning to repair a spiral fractured of his humerus (upper arm), which he sustained during a practice crash on Friday in Clermont, Florida.

Swoll, who was slated to compete in the 250 East Supercross Championship, will miss the opening round next Saturday, February 4 in Houston, Texas. Details of his recovery time have not yet been determined.

By missing Anaheim 2, Malcolm Stewart has dropped to 15th in the 450 standings and is 54 points behind 450 points leader Eli Tomac.

The Swoll news comes on the heels of another unfortunate announcement from Husqvarna that 450 Supercross rider Malcolm Stewart, who also suffered a practice crash earlier this past week, was out of action. Although the extent of or type of injury that Stewart sustained was not disclosed, Stewart will remain sidelined until further evaluation from his doctors.
