Habib Beye’s rant against Messi

Canal+ consultant Habib Beye was shocked by Lionel Messi’s behavior during the match between PSG and Rennes.

Against all odds, PSG lost Sunday at home to Rennes (0-2). A misstep that stains even if the capital team retains its leading position in the Ligue 1 standings.

“Behavior unworthy of Messi”

Logically, at the end of this part, the Parisian players were much singled out. And among those who have suffered the most criticism there is Lionel Messi. The Argentine star was knocked out by the consultant of Canal+Habib Beye.

Present at the Parc des Princes, the Franco-Senegalese was shocked by the dilettante side of the sevenfold Ballon d’Or. On an action, the former Barcelonan stopped playing completely after losing a ball near the Rennes area. “Nuno Mendes’ pass is not perfect, but for me he (Messi) misses his control. And afterwards, in body language, what he sends to his partners is not positive, lamented the Red Star coach. From a very great player like him, we expect a different attitude.

Beye went on to say that La Pulga is setting a very bad example for its partners by behaving like this: “It’s an epiphenomenon because there is spite vis-à-vis himself, but what he sends to his partners is not positive. Especially given the situation in which PSG is. There are young players in this team who need to see in the star, the benchmark player, a commitment. And this is not the case on this action.

Beye’s opinion was not shared by Alain Roche. Present at the edge of the field, the latter pointed out “We know how Messi is. We deal with it and we have to accept it”. Beye then retorted: “We feel like we have to accept everything. We just pointed out a behavior. Maybe it’s just frustration with himself. But it’s something to talk about. But we know very well that it is not he who will run 12 km in each match.
