Green and Pattison go out in Tunis

Connor Green and Ralph Pattison went out in the group stage of the high-quality WTT Youth Star Contender Tunis.

Pattison won one of his three matches in the under-15 boys, against a host-nation player, but was defeated by the second seed from South Korea and by higher-ranked Benjamin Girlinger of Austria.

In the under-19s, world No 65 Junior Green was edged out by fifth seed Payas Jain of India (WR 15) in his first match, having led 2-1, and then lost in four to No 26 Thibault Poret of France and Vit Kadlec of Czech Republic (WR 93).

In the U15 doubles, Pattison & Germany’s Tom Wienke won their opening match against a Tunisian pair in three straight, but then went out in the quarter-finals to the fourth seeds.

Green & Stepan Brhel (CZE) went out in the first round of the U19 doubles to a Spanish pair.
