Fortuna Sittard formalized this Saturday the departure of its Turkish striker Burak Yilmaz at the end of the season. Arrived last summer from Lille, the 2021 French champion will have played 26 games in the colors of the Dutch club, scoring 9 goals and delivering 5 assists. The 37-year-old Yilmaz has been released from his final year of contract.
“Fortuna and Burak Yilmaz part ways, this is the result of a discussion between all parties involved. Burak moved to Sittard last summer to add a new chapter to his impressive career. In total, the striker played 26 games, in which he scored nine goals. Two steps were taken at Sittard for him; his 250th career goal and his 500th professional game.
