Eagles have 7 of their 9 picks from the 2024 NFL Draft under contract

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: NOV 11 Georgia Tech at Clemson

The Philadelphia Eagles signed Jeremiah Trotter Jr. and Dylan McMahon to standard four-year rookie contracts on Wednesday, according to an official team announcement.

This news means the Eagles now have seven of their nine total picks from the 2024 NFL Draft under contract.

The players who’ve officially put pen to paper:

  • Jalyx Hunt
  • Will Shipley
  • Ainias Smith
  • Jeremiah Trotter Jr.
  • Trevor Keegan
  • Johnny Wilson
  • Dylan McMahon

All of these players are eligible to participate in training camp practices that begin in late July.

Only two Eagles draft picks — their top two selections this year — remain unsigned:

  • Quinyon Mitchell
  • Cooper DeJean

Mitchell’s deal will notably include a fifth-year team option by nature of him being a first-round pick.

There’s no real need to worry about the Eagles getting these guys under contract. There’s still plenty of time for both sides to knock out some relatively routine paperwork.
