But the Uruguayan central defender could soon no longer be the only one to bear this name on the Barça side. The Blaugrana leaders are close to concluding a loan with an option to buy Julián Araujo (Los Angeles Galaxy), according to Sport.
The young right-back (21) will be registered with the reserve but could be at Xavi’s disposal for the first team. The Catalans need reinforcements in this position since Hector Bellerin could already pack his bags by joining Sporting Portugal. The Mexican, who has spent his entire career so far with “Los Galácticos”, was already in the plans of the current La Liga leader last summer.
