Jos Buttler and Tamim Iqbal

England will kick off their white-ball tour of Bangladesh 2023 with a three-match ODI series commencing from Wednesday, March 1. Jos Buttler will lead the English side in their campaign. Meanwhile, Tamim Iqbal will captain the home side in 50-over games.

Coming from a 1-2 defeat against South Africa in their last ODI leg, England will play a total of six games on this tour, including three ODIs and as many T20Is. On the other hand, the hosts would enter the field with much confidence as they beat India 2-1 in the 50-over format in December 2022.

Notably, the English side have won 17 of the 21 ODIs they played against Bangladesh so far. However, in T20Is, both the teams met each other only in one instance where England emerged victorious.
