A new recruitment record for Chelsea?

on

Chelsea, very spendthrift during the last two transfer windows, could continue this momentum next summer.

The English club stood out during the last transfer market, by monopolizing the first place of the most expensive movement of the winter, with Enzo Fernandez. The Argentinian midfielder left Benfica for Chelsea for 121 million euros. An imposing sum, while initially, the Portuguese club did not want to sell the former player of River Plate, as revealed by the president of Benfica, Rui Costa. The former midfielder “sad” of the 22-year-old’s departure, said he did what was “the best for Benfica”by selling at an exorbitant price an element having shown “no commitment to Benfica”. So much so that Rui Costa reveals that as “what a fan”he did not want “more of this player” at the club.

Enzo Fernandez therefore left his former training, for Chelsea, on bad terms.

Rice sold for an XXL sum?

Will it be the same for Declan Rice? The English midfielder from West Ham has been in transfer rumors for many transfer windows. Chelsea and Arsenal are the two clubs most often cited to lure the 24-year-old 39-cap international. The Gunners even thought to offer 100 million euros to the Hammers last winter.

David Moyes, the West Ham coach, warned his suitors, in comments relayed by journalist Ben Jacobs: the Englishman will leave for a very large sum. “Without a doubt, Declan (Rice) is going to be a top player. He will be a British transfer record if he leaves West Ham. We talk about it a lot and when you see what’s going on for the prices, I think Dec (Rice) is going to rock the house” said the Scottish coach, aware that the middle, linked to West Ham until 2024, will not last forever at the club.

A few months ago, Declan Rice had also hinted that he was open to leaving for a club playing in the Champions League. Chelsea, in difficulty in the Premier League (9th), seems less inclined than Arsenal (1st) to seduce Declan Rice, currently.
