Vanderbilt University women’s team will play Northwestern to face the Wildcats on Sunday. Vanderbilt girls competed against three ranked opponents: no. 1 Texas, No. 3 NC State, No. 11 Miami, last weekend at the Miami Spring Invitational in their first competition in over two months. They will travel east to Raleigh, North Carolina to face Furman on January 28 in the first round of the ITA kickoff weekend.
As reported by the Vanderbilt university website, Anessa Lee went undefeated in women’s singles and picked up a pair of wins in doubles this past weekend at the Miami Spring Invitational. No. 35 Bridget Stammel had a pair of singles wins, including a Daevenia Achong of Miami, Florida, over the 60th-ranked, with Holly Staff also winning twice, and Marcella Cruz adding two doubles wins for the Dores at the event.
We recall Vanderbilt women’s tennis team wrapped up play at the Miami Spring Invite on Sunday, taking on No. 3 NC State in singles while also facing top-ranked Texas in doubles.
