WWE Executive VP and senior producer of NXT Triple H issued a short statement on his Twitter earlier today to apologize for the joke he made about former Divas champion Paige during a recent press interview. He writes, “I’ve reached out to @RealPaigeWWE to apologize. I made a terrible joke and I’m sorry if it offended her or anyone else.”

The Game was discussing how certain talents with serious injuries are better off staying out of the ring because rather than compete and risk further damage he wants them to live their full lives, citing Edge having kids as an example. He then jabbed at Paige, claiming that she “probably has some she doesn’t even know about.”
Prior to Triple H’s apology, Paige was asked during WWE’s UK media tour for their new partnership with BT Sport about the joke. She admitted that she was taken aback.
