Tottenham pulverize Crystal Palace, Aston Villa and Wolverhampton back to back

on

The last two Premier League meetings this Wednesday evening opposed Crystal Palace (11th) against Tottenham (5th) and Aston Villa (12th) against Wolverhampton (16th). In the London derby, the Spurs could not make the difference in the first period despite 15 good first minutes. The two teams returned to the locker room back to back. In the second half, Antonio Conte’s proteges returned with better intentions and were rewarded directly after the inevitable Harry Kane’s header (0-1, 48th). And the state of grace of the English striker did not stop there since a few minutes later, the number 10 doubled the lead with a cross strike (0-2, 53rd). The addition increased for Palace after the goal Matthew Doherty on a service from Son (0-3, 68th). The latter also came to participate in the celebration by scoring the fourth goal for Spurs (0-4, 72nd). With this triumph (0-4), Tottenham is two points behind Manchester United (4th). Crystal Palace stagnates in the soft underbelly of the Premier League (12th).

In the duel between Aston Villa and Wolverhampton, the Wolves started the match perfectly by opening the scoring after a magnificent personal action from Daniel Podence author of a sumptuous double contact before placing a curled shot in the small left net (0-1, 12th). Unable to make a difference in front of their public, the Lions returned to the locker room without having shown a conquering face. In the second half, the Villans raised their voices by putting pressure on Wolverhampton. But Unai Emery’s men stumbled over Wolves’ solid rear guard. Aston Villa finally found the fault after a goal from Danny Ings on a small lob (1-1, 78th). Despite the good will shown by Emery’s players at the end of the match and in particular a match point from Leon Bailey, the score remained 1-1 between the two teams. Villa moves up one place in the standings (11th). Wolverhampton remains in the red zone (19th).
