After Anne Hidalgo’s statements on the Parc des Princes, PSG is looking for a new home. Three destinations would be considered, with a view to moving.
In today’s edition, The Team returns to the big controversy of the weekend, in the capital. Anne Hidalgo, mayor of the Parisian city, responded clearly to the leaders of PSG. The Parc des Princes is not for sale: “Very clearly, the Parc des Princes is not for sale. And it will not be sold. This is a firm and definitive position. This is an exceptional heritage of Parisians. But of course we must support PSG in its desire and need for renovation, increased capacity, modernization of the Park. Remember, however, that the context is constrained. Part of the stadium is on the ring road, so you can’t dig”she launched.

Words that did not fail to react to the leaders of PSG, annoyed to wait for years for an answer on the possible takeover of the stadium. Their press release made no mystery about the future: “PSG has already invested more than 85 million euros to maintain the Parc des Princes, and is committed to investing an additional 500 million euros. Our project is to offer fans, and all Parisians, a high-performance stadium to allow PSG to develop and play at the highest level. It is obvious that such a large investment will only be made by PSG if we become the owners of the Parc des Princes. » Parisians are therefore looking for a new home. And according to the sports daily, three destinations are possible.
PSG could first join Saint-Denis, where the Stade de France has not had a regular club since 1998, when it was built. The Parisians would however certainly have to modernize it and no serious discussion would have started. The capital club could also build its own stadium: with this in mind, the Saint-Cloud racecourse and Poissy would be solutions to accommodate it. This option would nevertheless imply more years of waiting to integrate the much desired enclosure. Very difficult for the moment to know where the history of the Parisian club will continue.
